Chapter 40: Ally Profile
As Sevi continued walking back to his room, still feeling the stirrings of confusion over the system's strange message, he pulled out a tab to check his profile again.
This time, a new tab had appeared: Ally Profile.
He raised an eyebrow, curious by the unexpected addition.
'Ally Profile? Was this unlocked because of my recent actions?' he wondered, tapping on it.
The screen flickered for a moment before it revealed only one name:

Sevi hummed thoughtfully.
'Wait, i just noticed how low his favorability. Maybe it's the same reason as his sister, princess Cressida,' he thought remembering how low Cressida's favorability.
"Also...An illegitimate prince with a reserved personality... ???" he murmured. The question marks piqued his curiosity.
'What's the system hiding this time?' he thought.
'Anyways, this might be useful later, considering he was the protagonist,'
Swiping back, he noticed a small question mark icon blinking in the corner of the screen. Clicking on it brought up a brief message from the system:
[Ally Profile unlocked due to reaching a certain level. You may now track allies and their favorability progress. Additional allies can be unlocked through specific actions and interactions.]
Satisfied with his new discovery, he stretched his arms above his head and decided it was time to clear his mind.
'If I'm going to be spying tonight, I have to be in peak condition—mentally and physically,' Sevi thought as he headed to the training hall.
Changing into his workout clothes, he began his chest-day routine, feeling the comforting rhythm of physical exertion. He pushed through each set of bench presses, inclined dumbbell presses, and push-ups, sweat dripping down his brow.
As he moved through his exercises, his mind drifted back to Prince Carion. As he moved through his today's workout routine, which is a chest day, his mind wandered briefly to Carion again. He couldn't help but wonder why the prince had such a passive demeanor.
'I mean sure he is an illegitimate child but still, he's the son of the King, That should mean something, right?'
He paused mid-rep, staring at the ceiling as the weights rested in his hands.
'But then again, I don't know his full story.'
Shaking his head, he refocused. For now, those thoughts didn't matter. The night was coming, and the task of spying needed his full attention.
Sevi returned to his room after finishing his workout, feeling the satisfying burn in his muscles. He grabbed a fresh towel and headed to the bathroom, indulging in a quick, refreshing bath.
Drying off, he dressed in comfortable but practical clothing, suitable for a covert operation. Back in his room, Sevi opened his bag and carefully examined its contents.
'Okay, let's see what I've got.'
He rummaged through his belongings, pulling out a pair of gloves and a black face wrap.
'My white hair as well as purple eyes would be too eye-catching, might as well use these,' Sevi thought as he picked the black face wrap and shades.
Alongside those, he added a compact utility knife and a small vial of sleeping powder.
Finally, Sevi glanced at his stats.

Satisfied with the modest improvements to his stats, Sevi stared at the screen with a mix of pride and worry.
"Well, at least my strength isn't entirely pathetic anymore," he muttered, pulling on his gloves and adjusting the face wrap over his nose and mouth. The wrap concealed his stark white hair, but his purple eyes still glimmered faintly in the dim light of his room.
He caught his reflection in the window, the faint sheen of his irises almost glowing. A pang of unease struck him.
'If anyone sees these eyes in the dark, I'm screwed,' he thought, frowning. But then he glanced outside, noting the dense shadows and the way moonlight barely pierced through the canopy of trees around the academy grounds.
'It's midnight. No one's going to notice. Right?' Sevi sighed, trying to reassure himself, though the thought still lingered at the back of his mind.
'I don't know the first thing about spying. My lack of spying skills also worries me but well, I need to do this,'
He straightened his back, trying to push the worries aside.
"One step at a time," he muttered, slinging his small crossbody bog over his shoulder.
"If I can't be skilled, I'll just have to be lucky."

Description: Spy on the Red Crescent's midnight meeting to uncover their plans regarding Carla and Noemi
Reward: +3 Favorability Points (Noemi), +1 new skill
Penalty: If you fail to uncover their plan, you will lose 20 favorability points with Noemi, and you will have to wait 14 days before you can attempt a mission again.
Time limit: This midnight

As the system chimed softly to remind him of the mission details, he took one last look in the mirror.
'Lucky and really, really careful.'
With that thought, Sevi waited until 11 pm and slipped out of his room and then into the night.
