Everyone gasped, eyes widened in horror, but nobody dared to say a word.

Mrs. Sonia frowned. Even though she wasn't regarded, especially by this daughter of hers, she couldn't bear to see her suffer so. Three days without food and water could cause complications for her daughter. Her child wasn't raised like that, and her body won't be able to pull it off.

She stepped forward and shielded her daughter with her body, fearing that the old man might hit her daughter again.
