After a long and crazy day, the night had finally settled in. 

The dojo was dimly lit, the overhead lights cast a pale glow over its wooden floors. It was quiet, even making breathing oddly audible. 

Conrad stood on one side of the room, feeling a sense of familiarity that settled in his chest. 

This reminded him of the first time he had faced Meliora in this place. Her words, her relentless strikes, and the overwhelming pressure she had put on him to awaken The Devil's Avatar Abilities. 

It wasn't a pleasant experience, and stepping into the dojo again with her brought all of those emotions rushing back.

On the other side of the room stood Mel. Her posture was rigid, and her expression was just as stern. He couldn't really tell how she was feeling, but if he had to guess, he'd say she was determined to prove herself.
