Perhaps it was because it got too late last night, Han Jiaojiao overslept this morning.

In a daze, she was scooped into her brother's embrace, his deep voice resonating beside her ear, "Be good, go back to sleep after you finish your milk."

Then, she groggily drank more than half a glass of milk and collapsed back onto the bed to continue sleeping. She heard Yan Xiao laughing maliciously downstairs, "Han treats her like a daughter, making sure she drinks a glass of milk on time every morning and evening…"

Latterly, the bedroom door must have been closed by her brother; she couldn't hear their voices anymore. She lay powerless in her blankets, head swollen and dizzy.

She didn't know how much time passed before Han Jiaojiao finally forced her eyes open. Her head was still foggy, and her body ached everywhere. Suddenly, she leaped out of bed and ran to the window to look outside—there was no sign of the car; they had already gone far away.
