"I can’t go out like this," I said, taking in my current state.

"So you're going to stay in the bathroom forever?" Fiona asked, her eyebrows raised in disbelief.

I sighed inwardly. "Watch me."Fiona let out another frustrated sigh.

"I'm in the boys' bathroom, and believe me, I'm not in the mood to stare at stray pricks," she said, her eyes darting over my bruised face.

I forced a weak smile, but couldn’t muster a reply. Fiona took my hand and turned to face me fully.

"Look, I've got the most epic revenge plot ever," she said, her expression lightening up as if she were discussing a grand scheme. "How about this: we set Alex’s dad’s new Lambo on fire and shove a squid down his fucking throat?"

I managed a faint chuckle. "That’s too harsh, even for you, Fiona."
