The authority to expel people also lay with his superiors, who probably decided to do it and made this fool the scapegoat. Now he was going get kicked when he was down by Ai Jiangtu who placed a bet by him.
Mo Fan took the challenge on himself after communicating with Lingling and recognising the true nature of the Nazca Birds and went alone with Lin Feng into the mines to find the thief and retrieve the Eye of Nazca.
Once the eye was placed back in its location the occurences in various cities in Peru stopped completely and the demons simple vanished leaving more such Chaos marks, some of which he collected again.
The team left Peru and was soon tasked with helping in capturing Caso for claiming the ownership of the Cloak left by Essendale. Lin Feng went along with the motion and fought against Caso alongside Mo Fan.

He was barely able to defend against Caso's offensive spree and hold the guy back while Mo Fan defeated the guy and claimed the Cloak.
In fact of not for the fact Mo Fan offered him some rewards for helping him get the cloak and the fact that he had to perform to remain an official member of the team he had every intention of simply going with the flow.
