Lin Feng returned to Bo not long after his awakening well he had atleast three good reasons to come back to this rubble of a city.
He couldn't compete in the Shanghai Hunter market and would up like a Trainee since he couldn't use intermediate spells yet. Secondly Bo City needed a lot of work done and now the various job limitations had fallen steeply.
A lot of the mages in Bo had died in the disaster or left soon after and the military couldn't step in to do miscellaneous tasks, now they had to man the borders and collect information more than ever.
Thirdly his basic spell Earth Wave had quite some use in construction and clearing out rubble, compared to Shanghai market that was overcrowded, the Bo market deserted. He recalled the story of a man who visited an stayed in countries that just experienced a terrorist attack so that he could have everything for cheaper and felt almost the same.
After a month Lin Feng could step up to do various jobs and missions related to construction and he even took up a night job as logistics manager when he didn't have any missions to do. He picked whatever mode that allowed him most money and time for cultivation.
Another thing that happened was he took out a personal loan in Bo with his identity as an intermediate mage, in fact it was so useful that he wasn't asked for any collateral.
After negotiating with the loan officer he got the best terms he could get.
7 million RMB at 25 percent simple interest to be repaid in 8 years, as for why 8 years, the government enacted a year's moratorium for Bo citizens and he would be student at Pearl University for 4 years which meant another 4 years without any payments to the bank.
He also had an option to pay back the loan at just 5 percent in the first five years.
