Seiji found himself sitting comfortably at Pipra's family table, surrounded by the warmth of their home. The hearty dwarf food filled him, and the camaraderie with Pipra's parents made him feel surprisingly at ease. Pipra's father was in a jovial mood, clearly enjoying Seiji's company as they shared stories over their meal.
"You should sleep here tonight," Pipra's father said with a chuckle, his eyes twinkling. "And Pipra could use some rest too—didn't get much sleep last night, did you, lass?"
Pipra's face turned bright red at the teasing, knowing her father was right. Her mother, never one to miss a chance to add to her daughter's embarrassment, leaned in and whispered, "Just don't get pregnant yet, dear."
Pipra shyly glanced at her mother, feeling the heat rise in her cheeks. She was thankful Seiji hadn't overheard that last comment, as she could hardly contain her own embarrassment.
