When he arrived at the dorm building, there was a line at the first room already.
Eiji lined up and took his Gins and rations.
As he sat in the lone chair in the room, he took a hundred gins in the pouch and decided to buy some food first.
The rations were hard tacks.
It was just baked flour with some salt or sugar, or if you are lucky a single dot of herb.
He got more than a hundred which was what everyone got.
Eiji wasn't really that adverse in eating it, it was just, it was hard and the one that he ate didn't have any flavor at all.
So he decided to get something like salt or sugar and maybe some meat.
----
Eiji arrived at the market.
There were a lot of stalls with people selling all kinds of things.
He saw bread, fruits, vegetables and meat being sold.
There were even skewers and snacks that he havent seen before!
He saw someone lay some clothe and sell some random things he found.
He saw those that sell swords and armors.
When he asked thw seller how much a second hand katana was, Eiji was stunned that it was almost 3,500 gins!
And it was just a second hand katana! There was even a chip at its blade!
Eiji refused the seller saying he was just asking so he went to the stall that sold some bread and vegetables as well as essentials like salt and sugar.
"Uhmm..how much is a bread auntie?!"
"Oh? Its 10 gins per piece little boy!"
"Oh.. 10?..then this big tomatoes?!"
"The tomatoes are sold at 80 per kilo!"
"....can I buy just a little?!"
"... Well I can also sell it at a fourth of a kilo which is 20 gins!"
"Really?! Then I want to buy a fourth! Do you have salt and sugar?"
"Okay! For sugar and salt, we sell them by kilos too! The salt is a bit cheaper only 50 per kilo while the sugar is a bit expensive 100 per kilo!"
"Hmmm... Can I only buy half for the both of them!?"
After some hesitation Eiji asked the auntie.
"Hahah! Of course! Of course! No need to be so uptight boy! There's even those shameless guys that just wants a to get a single spoon with no payment!"
"Ehh?!"
Eiji was stunned by what thw auntie said.
' There are those guys that just wants something free huh?!'
The auntie packed what he bought in a small sack clothe.
Eiji paid the auntie 95 gins. Almost all the money he brought was gone.
After thanking the auntie and saying goodbye, Eiji left the stall as it was already lunch time, he found an uncle that was selling a chicken skewers for only 5 gins.
Eiji bought one and it was delicious!
But since he already run out of money he didn't buy another, and even if he brought all his money, he knew that he should save them up.
Eiji then walked back to the Dormitories with his groceries.
Eiji put the 5 tomatoes along with the salt and sugar in the small compartment above the sink.
He tied the sack clothe and even put it on another one.
He didn't know if rats can get inside the building dormitory, but it was better to be safe.
He knew how bad rats destroy and eat your foods.
After that Eiji layed down the bed and thought about what he have to do in the future.
'The groceries cost quite a lot, but if I saved them up I should be able to save some money and buy a katana!
As for how to save some food...
Well I can always just stew the rations to soften them up! I will be full by them if I put a lot of water as a soup, then add a bit salt or sugar if I want to!
As for what I want to do in the future....
Should I just let it be and see what awaits for me?!
Okay let's do that and not think too much!
If it doesn't work lets just ask Sir Muri!
Then what I need to do now is to learn lots! And just listen to the teacher's instructions!
Okay! Good! I'll just let things be for now, but I'll still work hard in school!
Now lets practice familiarizing the ki paths!'
After finalizing his decisions for now, he ended his thoughts and practiced his ki pathways.
The teacher that opened his pathways once mentioned that they can familiarize the pathways themselves when they are training at home.
It would also help in exhausting his ki and then resting so that the ki in the body increases!
Eiji continued his ki practice as the day is slowly becoming night and it was time for dinner.
