With some effort, he managed to climb back into the saddle .

He sat there for a moment, gathering his thoughts. 

This time, he was determined. He would not let his mount make a fool of him again. 

"Okay, Ash," he said, trying to sound confident. "Let's go, but take it slow." 

With a gentle nudge to the horse's sides, he braced himself for the worst—another wild gallop, or worse, a sudden bolt into the bushes. 

But to his surprise, it responded with a calm, steady pace, almost as if the horse had finally decided to take pity on its struggling rider. 

Fang Xuan blinked, half-expecting a trick, but the horse kept moving forward without any sudden outbursts. 

'Wait… is this real?' he muttered under his breath, adjusting his grip on the reins.
