章節 2: Chapter 2: The Strauss Siblings
In the Mikage Forest near Malba City, three youngsters were slowly making their way forward. This trio was Mirajane Strauss, Lisanna Strauss, and Elfman Strauss.
"Sister, there's a city ahead!" Lisanna exclaimed, unable to hide her excitement despite the mud on her face, as she spotted the distant outline of Malba City.
Since leaving their village, they had journeyed through mountains and forests, facing numerous hardships, including being hunted by dangerous monsters.
However, unlike Lisanna's joy, Mirajane had a bit of fear in her eyes. After being rejected by everyone in their village, she was afraid of facing a similar situation again.
The indifference and hostility, treating her as if she were a monster, had been hard for Mirajane to bear. But deep inside, she still harbored a glimmer of hope.
"I heard that mages master many magical spells. Maybe there's a spell that can return my arm to normal." With this hope, Mirajane led Lisanna and Elfman towards the city.
Meanwhile, Chrollo, using his S-level magic power and guided by the Magic Talent Detector arrow sign, quickly arrived near the trio.
From a distance, Chrollo didn't expect that the three light spots on the map were Mirajane, Lisanna, and Elfman—the future members of the Fairy Tail Guild.
"What a surprise! These siblings haven't joined the Fairy Tail Guild yet," exclaimed Chrollo in surprise upon seeing them.
"Sorry, Makarov, I can't just waste my Magic Talent Detector. I'll compensate you later if we meet," he added, determined to recruit them for the future development of his guild and for system rewards.
"But how should I invite them to join the Phoenix Guild? Although I know how to solve Mirajane's arm problem, appearing suddenly would only arouse their suspicion." As he pondered, Chrollo noticed a giant tiger nearby, radiating magical power and resting just a few meters away.
"I've suddenly had an idea! While the giant tiger's magic isn't particularly threatening, it's still formidable compared to ordinary monsters." Sensing an opportunity, Chrollo used his S-class magic power to exert pressure on the giant tiger.
"R-roar?!" The giant tiger growled, trembling in fear. Sensing imminent danger, it wanted to flee but was cornered by Chrollo's magic power from all directions.
Chrollo then relieved the pressure near where the trio stood, prompting the tiger to instinctively bolt in that direction.
...
"Wait a moment!" Mirajane suddenly halted.
"W-what's wrong, sister? Is there any danger?" Though confused, Lisanna and Elfman obeyed their elder sister.
Since leaving the village, they had depended on her for safety. Her heightened sensitivity to danger, enhanced by the Soul of Satan she had acquired, enabled them to evade threats.
*RUSTLE*
Suddenly, a rustling noise emanated from the nearby bushes. Before Mirajane could react, a giant tiger emerged with a roar.
*ROAR*
Lisanna and Elfman stood frozen in place, while Mirajane quickly protected her siblings, suppressing her fear, raising her demonic arm, and launching an attack.
"Commendable courage!" thought Chrollo from a distance. He added, "However, courage alone couldn't overcome the difference in strength."
*BOOM*
After a few seconds of stalemate, Mirajane was knocked over by the giant tiger's paw.
"Sister!"
"S-sister!"
*ROAR*
After another roar, its initial fear turned into excitement. The suffocating sense of crisis it had felt earlier disappeared, and in front of it were three human children—a tempting meal.
.....
"Hey readers! If you don't use your power stones, I'll devour these three brats," said the giant tiger in an intimidating tone.
"Good job! Don't worry, I'll make your death less painful in the next chapter," the author replied.
"W-what! Don't do this to me, master. I was peacefully resting earlier, but they disturbed me." (╥﹏╥)
"Then what do you want?" the author asked.
"Hehe~ How about you make me a phoenix master? I promise I'll behave."
