After Managing to escape from that freak and his cronies I made my way to my hideout in an abandoned huge underground sewage line
I slumped on an worn out but comfortable foam chair
I started to sort through my loot first there was a beautifully crafted box , a golden wrist watch and a small purse bag full of cowerice and some documents on some research I decided to put aside for now.

Well if you look at it from my perspective
It would cost 5ß to get stale bread and 10ß to get fresh bread and it would take 1¢ to get fresh and uncontaminated bread from Elysium heights.
As I opened the beautiful and fancy wooden box engraved with gold it would surely fetch a lot of cowerices, laying there was a little black jelly bean.....
I gasp in shock as I saw what was in front of me
Well you might be wondering why a small jelly bean would failure me to gasp in shock you see there is a reason let me explain
Well you see jelly beans around here is a rare treat for the rich and it is very expensive at least to us poor folks costing 20¢ per one, legend but that not the main reason for my shock the main reason is because of the legend
During the dark ages or the age of witches when there were still witches and the witches were being burned on stakes an ancient civilization started to wonder how witches came to be and instead of burning them they captured them and experimented on them trying to figure out how they are different from other people
At first the experiments were fruitless until they started dissecting the witches and they stumbled upon a discovery during their numerous experiment they found a way to extract the witches power and when it was extracted it turned solid and became jelly bean shape and due to the influence of the church at that time it became known as Lucifer's beans or Devil's beans and then became a wild hunt for witches.
Due to their experimentation the church believe them corrupted by the devil and the church used it influence to start a campaign against Veridium ( the ancient city)
Due to the time veridium had a lot of bases in different places kept hidden even from the World Order ( world government) .
Although Veridium fought valiantly against the they still fell due to the betrayal of one of their allies and they fell , their entire country destroyed with remenant scattered around the world.
