After getting ready to leave, Hunter stepped out of his room and saw Delilah, who was wrapped in a bathrobe on her way to the kitchen to make breakfast.

"I need to leave now. We will see later in the day," he said, and she gave him a nod as she met his gaze.

"Have a good day," she said softly.

"Are we still on for that special dinner tonight?" He asked, and she rolled her eyes.

"It's not special. It's just dinner to make it up to you for our ruined lunch," she corrected.

"I'm entitled to interpret that how I want," he said, and butterflies fluttered in her belly when he walked over to her and leaned down to kiss her.

"Blake," she called weakly, unable to resist him as he claimed her lips with a hand on her nape holding up her head.

The kiss was a slow-burning fire that ignited a passion so intense, it left her breathless. Delilah's toes curled, and her body swayed toward Hunter's, drawn by an unseen force.
