The cabin was very rudimentary, with just one bed, where they placed Lawrence. They built a stove in the kitchen area, but no one would live and cook here under these circumstances.

Not to mention, the smoke from cooking would reveal their whereabouts.

It took a while before Beech came in, holding a large piece of bark he had peeled off from the surrounding trees. The bark was folded at the edges, barely serving as a container for water.

In addition, he had brought several tuber-like things with him.

"This is water."

With hardly any furniture in the house, Beech simply held the bark while Michelle picked up the tubers that Beech had dug up.
