Ziyan hands to her shoulders, and with a swift, fluid movement, he shifted their positions once again. His hand fumbled across the nightstand, his fingers brushed against various objects before finally closing around the remote control.

He aimed the device toward the ceiling and pressed a button with his thumb. The bright lights in the room faded away and in its place, dim, golden lights began to bloom.

Ziyan looks down at the woman below him and his breath hitched. She was beautiful, her dark hair splayed out around her on his pillow. Her skin looked golden under the low light of the lamp. Her eyes sparkled with mirth as she smiled, her cheeks tinted pink, like the rose she reminded him of. She was truly a beauty. His beauty.
