"That was the reason why you saved me, right? I reminded you of your mom." Claire questioned him, wanting to confirm her thoughts.

"Yes! You remind me of my mother. That's why I stood squarely in front of the gun. I didn't want to live with another guilt and would prefer to die instead." He answered me, and I didn't know why he was thrilled to hear that.

He didn't want me to get hurt. That was so weird of him. He doesn't look like someone like that, to be very honest.

He was so sure of what he was saying. "I would do my best to help if we were still together." I would make her catch the person who did this to his mother." She assured him. Joshua looked at her and almost laughed.

"What's funny? Do you think that I would not be able to help you with that? I've got some detective spirit in me." She bragged as she tried to lighten up the mood.
