Immediately after she was done with her food, she went back to her room and called Joshua.
Joshua couldn't sleep all night since he was so worried. He didn't even know why he was worried. He didn't know if he was worried because of his wife or because of what his grandfather was going to say, which he could get to realise.
He got a call that brought him back to his reality. He looked towards his phone and realised it was his wife calling. Seeing it, he was shocked for a moment, but he quickly picked it up.
"Claire, is that you?" He questioned her.
"Yes! I'm going to send my address to you right now." She told him and ended the call. She sent the address to him right away.
After a few minutes of waiting, Claire heard a horn right in front of the house and then received a text immediately from Joshua announcing his presence.
Mike, who was right in the sitting room, came out immediately. "Welcome here, brother!" Mike shouted so loudly since Joshua was right inside his car.
Joshua was shocked to see his younger brother coming down from the car. He took out his phone to check if he was at the right location. Joshua heard his brother greeting him when he got closer to his car.
Joshua got down from the car, and then he saw the car that his brother had right in the compound. He saw that it really resembled the one that he saw right on the security camera.
"Where is she?" Joshua didn't want anything to do with his younger brother, so he just decided to get straight to the point. Mike chuckled at seeing how his elder brother was acting.
"She should be on her way here by now. What? You didn't want her to know the kind of relationship that we had together? Are you scared that I might get to capture her heart? Or are you scared that she would choose me over you, just like the way your family ditched you over me?" Mike chuckled slightly. He was always fond of trying to instigate a fight between both of them.
Joshua rushed to him and grabbed him by the neck. Be careful, or you'll regret approaching my wife. Don't you dare bring such matters to my attention again, or you will regret it too." Joshua was filled with rage. He hated what his brother had just said.
"Oh! Are you scared I might have to do something awful for her? Are you worried about what might happen to her? I should be worried about the fact that she is with you instead. I don't think she deserves to be with you. I heard that you were forced to get married to her. That means you two don't like each other. That would be wonderful if we got together, right? Mike managed to say, since his elder brother's grip on his neck was actually painful.
Joshua let go of him immediately. "That is not for you to decide! Your family status doesn't give you a say in my life. I would advise you to stay out of my lanes. Try to see if it is possible for her to come to you." Joshua replied to his brother. He then saw his wife coming out of the door and decided to act normally.
"Let me see if she is able to resist me. You should treat her right and not end up leaving her in the rain again. She had a fever and sprained her ankle. You should learn to take care of her well," Mike informed him.
Mike saw the expression on his face, and he could tell that she was already outside, and he just wanted to put on a show.
"Bye! Your help is no longer needed from her." Joshua spoke to him with a huge smile on his face, even though he didn't mean what he was saying.
"Thank you very much for your help. I promised you I was going to treat you to dinner one day. "I see you've already met with my husband." Claire interrupted their arguments without knowing they had argued.
"Yes! Who doesn't know your husband? He is one of the best business people out there! I've heard a lot about him," Mike stated.
"Oh! You have? That is wonderful to hear. I knew he was famous, but I never imagined that you could know him. I will have to go now," she informed him.
Joshua stood there, watching all the drama they were doing right in his presence.
She didn't know the two were related. "Have a nice time with your husband." Mike gave a hug, which made Joshua's blood boil. He didn't know if he was angry because she was his wife, or if he was angry because it was his brother.
Joshua opened the door for her, so she could enter. She didn't bother to greet him or say anything to him.
Claire was giving him the cold treatment again. "Make sure you treat your wife right. She doesn't deserve to be treated that way again," Mike told Joshua as he entered the car. Joshua didn't bother to reply to him.
He ignited the car's engine and then drove off, leaving the environment. I am so sorry for what I did yesterday. I was blinded by my anger." Joshua was the one who broke the silence this time around.
"You don't have to apologise for that. I was the one who annoyed you at first. She cut in. Joshua looked at her in disbelief.
"Do you really mean that, or are you just being cold?" He questioned her, and she then looked at him, making their eyes meet each other.
"Both! I apologise for what I did. I shouldn't have brought someone as special as that into an argument. It was bad, and I already had my lesson." She added.
