章節 60: A chance encounter

While talking about Eva's twin brother, Phil trailed his wife to the grocery store while holding the infant. She said something amusing about her brother, and he laughed so hard that everyone in the vicinity turned to stare at them. Eva appeared timid abruptly, but Phil was unaffected. After giving her a forehead kiss, he invited her to keep picking.

Then he noticed Raya and abruptly halted. She had some groceries to pick up as well. She approached them with her shopping cart, looking astonished to see him from a distance. Phil stepped closer to them. Eva first glanced at her husband, then back at her.

"Hi," Raya began, grinning broadly, as soon as she arrived at their location.

Eva smiled and said, "Hi," in a polite response.

"Phil, it's been a long time. We haven't seen each other in ages. "How are you doing?" she inquired.

"Good as you can see." He gave a blunt response.

She grinned. "Is this your wife and daughter?"
