"So, grow up and let go," Eveline said for the last time,
"It was not me who told Mom about us," Gabriel said, giving her a perplexed look. "It's Danny," he said.
"But you are the one who said it in front of Dad," Eveline scowled. "In a sense, you did act childish inside, so it does not really matter," she remarked.
Gabriel couldn't understand what was Eveline's problem. Despite his attempts to defend himself with reasoning, she continued to hold him accountable for the internal events.
"Now don't keep standing here and leave." Eveline groaned as her sleep started to take hold. "I have to go and sleep," she said.
It had been this way for a while now. Eveline always went to bed when she was tired because she knew that as soon as the nightmares started, she would wake up and the sleep would be long gone.
She turned and left Gabriel stranded outside the house without waiting for his response and closed the door right in his face.
