章節 30: Eveline's disappointment

When morning arrived, Eveline was on schedule. She dressed quickly and went downstairs to have breakfast with Jonathan.

"Good morning, princess," Jonathan said, as he smiled at his daughter.

Eveline sat down in the chair and ate her breakfast rapidly.

"Take it slow, sweetheart. Do you wish to choke on the food? It is not that you are late," Jonathan remarked, observing Eveline's hasty action as she stuffed bread into her mouth.

After realizing what she was doing, Eveline smiled impishly and slowed down. She did not want to be late, nor did she want to find herself compelled to accompany anyone like the other day.

As the thought of their drive crossed her mind, 

Eveline finished her breakfast quickly and kissed her father on the cheek before heading out of the house.
