章節 22: New template.

In the dark void, two figures stood before each other, facing the weight of a shared but distant past.

'This...this was... how do I say it? Unimaginable,' I thought, my mind racing. 'So, that was my past. Well, one of them... but still, knowing I caused someone to off themselves... that's terrible. I thought I was just a nerd, a weeb. But this? This was... unexpected.'

I stared at the face of my past life—my face, but somehow not. It felt distant, like a memory too foreign to belong to me, yet the emotions came flooding back. My past self stared back at me in silence, a weight that couldn't be put into words.

"<Review over>," the system announced in its usual monotone.

The world around me faded to black, dissolving like smoke in the air, and with it, my past self disappeared.

---

Back in the real world, I slowly opened my eyes. The morning light streaming in through the window assaulted my senses, making me squint. Had I really spent the entire night reviewing that? It felt like a lifetime, but the clock confirmed it was only hours.

I was lying in bed, my body heavy with soreness. Ugh, I groaned internally as I pushed myself up and shuffled toward the bathroom. My muscles ached with every step, and as I undressed, I couldn't help but sigh. Maybe going through mental revelations also takes a toll on your body.

After a long shower, I wrapped a towel around myself and started digging through my bag. I pulled out a black suit—classic and sharp. Today's going to be interesting, I thought as I slipped into it, buttoning up the shirt and adjusting the tie in the mirror.

Once I was ready, I stepped out of my room and made my way toward the hotel restaurant. I was starving. But as I walked through the hallway, I bumped into someone—a man in a black suit, just like mine. He had long black hair and a well-groomed beard.

"Sorry," I mumbled, looking up at the man.

He merely nodded in acknowledgment, his expression unreadable, and continued on his way. I turned to watch him leave, something nagging at the back of my mind. Where have I seen him before?

There was something else about him too, I realized. That bloodlust... It was faint, but unmistakable. The kind of aura only a seasoned killer could have. Whoever he was, he wasn't someone to mess with.

Shaking off the strange encounter, I continued toward the dining room. My stomach growled in protest, reminding me why I was there. Let's skip the eating details, I thought to myself. I'm not Gordon Ramsay. No need to describe every bite.

---

After a quick breakfast, I hailed a cab, feeling much better now that I had some food in me. Luffy was right—food really does solve problems. Or... maybe that wasn't Luffy? I shook my head. Whatever, time to focus.

I had a meeting lined up with someone important today—someone I suspected I already knew. Only a handful of people in the Marvel universe could fit the way this guy talked.

As the cab sped along the streets, I remembered something that brought a smirk to my face. The new character draw. I had almost forgotten.

"System, start the character draw," I whispered under my breath, careful not to let the cab driver hear. He seemed absorbed in his old-school music anyway.

The system responded immediately.

"<Commencing Draw.>"

"<Congratulations! You got a Rare Template: Azmuth (0%)! Do you wish to equip it?>"

Azmuth? The genius who created the Omnitrix? That was unexpected, but definitely exciting. I nodded to myself.

"Equip it," I said, bracing for the changes.

The moment the template equipped, I felt... different. When I got the Sanji template, nothing had felt out of the ordinary. But this? This was like my entire perception had shifted. My mind felt clearer, sharper. It was as if I could see more, understand things at a deeper level.

But something else caught my attention: the template was at 0%. Why didn't it start at 10%, like Sanji's? I wondered.

"Hey, system," I called out. "Why does this template start at zero while the previous one started at 10%? What's the deal with that?"

The system answered bluntly. "<The Sanji template required physical power, which you already possessed to a degree. Therefore, it started at 10%. The Azmuth template, however, requires intelligence... which you lack considerably. Hence, it starts at zero.>"

I felt my eyebrow twitch. Did the system just call me dumb?

"You saying I'm stupid?" I asked, trying not to sound too insulted.

"<Yes.>" The system's response was deadpan.

My fist clenched in mild frustration. Okay, fine, I thought. I'll show you. Just wait until I master this template.

For now, though, I had a meeting to attend. A genius template wouldn't do me any good if I didn't handle the situation in front of me. Taking a deep breath, I leaned back in the cab seat, preparing for whatever was coming next.

.........

(A/N): How's it going, hope you guys are well. Some were complaining why I put another oc in the story. Well to make it much more interesting. I don't want the mc to be super strong and one shot everyone who gets in his way. No, I need some rivalry.

But, don't worry Ed is not coming before the first avangers movie. He will be revealed in either age of ultron or civil war.

As, do you think sanji beat the invincible hulk?
