章節 42: External Spirit Bone

Feng Xuan stood ready, his heart pounding with excitement and anticipation. Shivarjuna, his mentor, had decided to use his Yogic energy to teleport Feng Xuan to the Sunset Forest, where the elusive Elemental Dragon awaited. Shivarjuna's energy enveloped Feng Xuan, and in an instant, they traversed the vast distance, arriving at the ancient, mystical forest, Sunset Forest.

As the shimmering energy faded, Feng Xuan found himself surrounded by towering trees and an otherworldly aura. The Sunset Forest lived up to its name, with the sunlight filtering through the dense foliage, casting a golden glow. He took a deep breath, feeling the elemental energies that converged in this place. Determined, he began his search for the 1500-2000 year-old Elemental Dragon.

After two hours of relentless searching, Feng Xuan's perseverance paid off. He spotted the magnificent beast resting by a crystalline stream, its scales shimmering with the colors of fire, water, earth, air, and lightning. The Elemental Dragon was a sight to behold, embodying the raw power of the elements.

Shivarjuna said "It is 1800 year Element Dragon. Its bloodline is a little faint due to the extinction of the dragon in Douluo. Still, it's power can rival the spirit grandmaster. Be careful."

"Okay, Master. I will be careful dealing with it." Said Feng Xuan with a resolved expression.

Feng Xuan approached cautiously, his hand steady on his golden bow, Vijaya. The dragon's eyes snapped open, and it rose to its full height, sensing the challenge before it. Without hesitation, Feng Xuan drew an arrow, his mind and body honed by years of rigorous training.

Dragon also aware of human roared and used his elemental power to attack Feng Xuan.

Dragon attacked with fire which Feng Xuan countered with a water arrow.

Dragon is shocked by Feng Xuan's use of elements but due to dragon's pride he now attacks Feng Xuan with all elements one by one.

The battle commenced with a fierce exchange of elemental attacks. The dragon unleashed torrents of fire and lightning, while Feng Xuan countered it with Fire, Water, and Earth arrows. He called upon the teachings of Shivarjuna, controlling fire to meet fire, water to douse flames, and Earth to neutralize the dragon's lightning. Each move was calculated, each step deliberate.

Despite the dragon's immense power, Feng Xuan's training and skills kept him on par. He used his agility and archery prowess to stay one step ahead, firing arrows imbued with elemental energy. The clash of elements created a spectacular display, with explosions of light and energy illuminating the forest.

The dragon roared in frustration, its attacks becoming more frenzied. Feng Xuan knew he had to maintain his composure. Drawing upon his inner strength, he remembered Shivarjuna's lessons on focus and balance. He slowed his breathing, centered his mind, and aimed carefully.

Feng Xuan used his first spirit ability,

"Illusion arrow" roared Feng Xuan.

With that five-arrow shot with speed, Dragon used his element to counter but it all was an illusion. The real arrow struck the dragon's weakest point, a spot where its elemental energies converged. The dragon let out a thunderous roar before collapsing, its power subdued. Feng Xuan stood victorious, his body trembling from the exertion, but his spirit unbroken.

As Feng Xuan approached the fallen Elemental Dragon, he noticed something a radiant purple ring hovering above its lifeless form. The dragon's 1800-year-old spirit ring shimmered with intense energy, promising a significant boost in power. With determination, Feng Xuan began the process of absorbing the spirit ring.

He sat cross-legged, focusing his mind and soul on the task at hand. The purple ring descended slowly, merging with his body. The intense energy coursed through him, challenging his endurance and willpower. For an entire hour, Feng Xuan remained in deep concentration, battling the formidable power of the spirit ring. Gradually, he felt his soul power surging, breaking through barriers, and reaching new heights.

When the absorption was complete, Feng Xuan's soul power had broken through to level 23. He opened his eyes, feeling a newfound strength and clarity. But his attention was quickly drawn to something else—a peculiar, shimmering object near the dragon's body. Upon closer inspection, he realized it was an external spirit bone, an incredibly rare and powerful treasure.

Curious about this discovery, Feng Xuan turned to Shivarjuna within his mind, asking for an explanation. Shivarjuna, ever the patient teacher, began to explain the nature and significance of external spirit bones. He described how these bones, formed from the essence of powerful spirit beasts, could grant extraordinary abilities and enhance the user's strength significantly. Shivarjuna emphasized their rarity and the immense advantage they provided in battles.

Understanding the immense value of the spirit bone, Feng Xuan prepared himself for the absorption process. He focused his mind once again, guiding the spirit bone's energy into his body. The absorption process was intense, but Feng Xuan persevered, feeling the power of the spirit bone integrating with his own. As the process neared completion, he felt another surge of energy within him.

With the successful absorption of the external spirit bone, Feng Xuan's soul power broke through to level 25. The combination of the powerful spirit ring and the external spirit bone had significantly elevated his strength and potential. He stood up, feeling an unprecedented level of power and readiness for the challenges ahead.

As Feng Xuan stood up, feeling the newfound power coursing through his veins, Shivarjuna's voice resonated within his mind, tinged with concern. "Feng Xuan, we must be cautious. I sense a powerful presence nearby. It's a Title Douluo, attracted by the intense light and energy from your battle with the Elemental Dragon."

Feng Xuan's heart skipped a beat. A Title Douluo was a formidable opponent, far beyond his current abilities. He knew they had to leave quickly. He scanned the surroundings, trying to gauge the direction of the approaching threat.

"Who is it, Master?" Feng Xuan inquired silently.

"I don't know but sensing his power and weak physical condition. It should be Dugu Bo, the Poison Douluo, which you have warned me about." Shivarjuna replied, his tone grave. "He is not someone to be taken lightly. We must leave immediately."

Just as Feng Xuan prepared to retreat, he felt a sudden shift in the atmosphere. A powerful aura enveloped the area, making the air feel heavy and oppressive. Out of the shadows, an imposing figure emerged, his presence exuding a dangerous mix of power and malevolence.

Dugu Bo's eyes narrowed as he spotted Feng Xuan. "Well, well, what do we have here? A young spirit master who managed to defeat an Elemental Dragon. Impressive," he remarked, his voice laced with curiosity and suspicion.

Feng Xuan clenched his fists, knowing that a confrontation was inevitable. He could sense the immense power radiating from Dugu Bo, and despite his recent power-ups, he knew he was no match for a Title Douluo.

Shivarjuna's voice urged him to stay calm. "Do not engage him directly, Feng Xuan. We need to find a way to escape. Use your speed and agility to evade him. I will guide you."

Feng Xuan nodded internally, taking a deep breath to steady his nerves. "I appreciate your kind words, Senior Dugu Bo, but I must take my leave," he said, trying to sound respectful and unthreatening.

Dugu Bo's eyes glinted with amusement. "ohhoho, look someone also knows me. Leaving so soon? Why the rush? Perhaps we could have a little... chat," he suggested, his tone menacing.

Without wasting another moment, Feng Xuan turned and bolted into the dense forest, his movements swift and calculated. He could hear Dugu Bo's laughter echoing behind him, a chilling reminder of the danger he was in.

Guided by Shivarjuna's directions, Feng Xuan navigated through the forest, using every bit of his training to stay ahead of the Poison Douluo. The trees and foliage provided some cover, but he could feel Dugu Bo's presence closing in.

"Keep moving, Feng Xuan. We need to find a safe spot where I can create a barrier to conceal us," Shivarjuna advised, his voice calm yet urgent.

After what felt like an eternity, Feng Xuan spotted a secluded clearing. He dashed towards it, hoping it would provide the temporary refuge they desperately needed. As he reached the clearing, he could feel Shivarjuna's energy enveloping them, forming a protective barrier.

Dugu Bo arrived moments later, his expression one of mild annoyance. "Impressive. You managed to evade me for longer than I expected," he admitted. "But this game of cat and mouse is over."

Just as Dugu Bo prepared to break through the barrier, a sudden, intense surge of Shivarjuna's yogic energy amplified the barrier, creating a temporary but powerful shield. Dugu Bo's eyes widened in surprise as he realized the strength of the protective field.

"We won't be able to hold him off for long," Shivarjuna warned.
