章節 144: Tired—Mature Content

Selene was in the sitting room, munching on some snacks as she flipped through TV channels out of boredom. With the house empty except for the maids in their quarters, she tried to entertain herself by focusing on the big screen. 

The soft hum of the TV filled the room as she settled deeper into the plush sofa, hoping to find something interesting to watch.

Sighing, she checked the time on her phone, seeing it was almost midnight. Xavier had texted her saying he would come back home today but she hadn't seen him. 

Yawning, Selene could only hope he was alright before she stood up from the couch, dropped her bowl of snacks in the refrigerator, and headed towards their room to sleep. The both of them didn't sleep in separate rooms anymore. 

Since his sleeping chamber was much larger than hers, it only made her feel more lonely. 

Selene got under the covers to sleep.
