章節 172: Fight Begins! The Fight has begun!!!

When she said this, Persephone, who had been standing by with wide eyes, didn't know what to say for a moment.

Sure, she was happy about the prospect of returning to the Underworld with Hades, but the idea of being "traded off" by her mother like this—what was going on?

Hearing this, Hades, who was already highly motivated, now had a literal fire burning in his eyes.

Poseidon, on the other hand, was startled by the sudden intensity of his brother's determination.

Hecate, who happened to arrive in the divine realm, looked down on the Pegasus and saw this scene.

Thinking that Hades, ruler of the Underworld, technically her boss... not that she particularly cared. After all, she had always disregarded the rules of the Underworld, freely traveling between the mortal realm and the land of the dead.

Even Cerberus, the fearsome hound of the Underworld, was her pet.

Still, since she did reside in his domain, she might as well help out.

So, she cast a strengthening spell on Hades, ensuring he could beat Poseidon even hard.

Thus began the battle between the two titanic figures of Greek mythology: the Lord of the Underworld and the Lord of the Seas.

Their immense divine powers and authorities clashed, causing the waters within the divine realm to churn violently, sending waves crashing everywhere.

The sheer force of their confrontation began to affect not only the godly realm but also the world outside.

Seeing this, Nyx, the Goddess of Night, exerted her full power, extending the night's veil to cover the area, enveloped the realm in darkness, and ensuring that the battle wouldn't spill over and threaten the entire world.

Even Hecate became serious, pulling out her staff to cast protective magic over Pegasus and Promise as they ventured deeper into the heart of the divine battlefield.

"Let's go, brother Pegasus," Promise whispered to Pegasus, his earlier playful demeanor gone as he shifted into a more focused state.

Hearing this, the latter nodded quietly and pressed forward.

Despite the winged horse's usual habit of selling Promise to many goddesses and then retreating to graze, when it truly mattered, Pegasus never faltered.

No matter if it was the Underworld or the realm of the gods, wherever Promise wished to go, it would descend from the starry night sky to carry him to his destination.

Meanwhile, in the magnificent, gilded halls of Olympus...

"Ah, looks like the fighting has started."

Hermes pressed down the feathers on his cap, with a sly smile at the corners of his mouth as he turned his gaze toward Apollo, the God of Light, in front of him.

"It looks like it's our turn to get started, don't you think, Artemis?" As he spoke, he shifted his attention to the Moon Goddess standing beside him.

Artemis nodded without hesitation, immediately drawing her bow and aiming it straight at Apollo.

"Is this really necessary?" The latter sighed, clearly exasperated. "I didn't even want to get involved! I just got here a little late... And Hermes, don't think I don't know what this is about. You're just looking for an excuse to get back at me for hunting you last time, right?"

"Oh my, Apollo, whatever are you talking about? I have no idea what you mean," Hermes responded with a look of confusion, and eyes wide in mock surprise, though the grin on his face betrayed his amusement.

"Oh, by the way, Artemis," Hermes continued, "That kid Promise gave us strict orders to make sure you utterly defeat Apollo. He wants him humiliated, so, no holding back, got it?"

"Got it," Artemis nodded seriously, her eyes gleaming with determination. "For the sake of Promise, I will beat him so hard that he can't even get up!"

"That's the spirit." At this moment, Hermes couldn't control the smug expression on his face as he grinned from ear and ear and shouted, "Beat him!"

"Hermes!" Apollo, barely dodging one of Artemis' arrows, was livid. "I'll remember this vengeance! Just you wait!"

"Oh, please," Hermes didn't buy it at all and said with a dismissive wave. "You're not Promise. What good does holding a grudge do? Now stand still and take your punishment!"

As the fight erupted between Artemis and Apollo, Hecate's eyes gleamed with excitement.

Seeing the Moon Goddess and the God of Light in battle, she couldn't resist.

She tossed another enhancement spell their way, making the fight even more intense!

"Uh... Goddess Hecate," Promise, who saw all of this, muttered, watching her with an odd expression. "You're always so unwilling and annoyed, but… are you sure you're not actually enjoying yourself? You seem to be having a great time, right."

In fact, Promise's suspicion wasn't without basis.

Hecate had been raised by Nyx, the mischievous Night Goddess, after all.

How could she not have been influenced by her?

Besides, if Hecate really resisted from the bottom of her heart, how could she be caught and dragged along by Promise, even allowing him to carry her?

She might be unreliable at times, but in the end, she was still a great goddess.

"Nonsense!" Hecate opened her eyes wide, "You are slandering, slandering!"

Promise didn't say anything else and silently noted the matter down in his heart.

After all, he still needed her help now, and it wouldn't be too late to settle the account after this was over!

As Pegasus carried Promise and Hecate forward, they arrived above the grand temple of Hera.

The regal goddess—Promise's very own patron deity, was already standing at the entrance, waiting.

All the other gods, nymphs, and spirits within the realm of the gods had long fled before the battle began.

Hera, with her elegant curls spilling from beneath her crown, gazed at the approaching figures with her amber eyes, calm and poised as ever.

Beside her stood Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, and her elder sister, Hestia.

At that moment, someone else entered the scene, pushed forward by Hestia herself—a goddess seated in a wheelchair.

"My esteemed and revered mother," The goddess, who was like Hera's girlhood, appeared in front of Hera, sitting in a wheelchair.

Half of her face was hidden behind a mask as she gazed up at Hera with an unnaturally bright smile.

"It's been such a long time, hasn't it?"

This was Promise's cheap goddess teacher, the child of Hera herself, and widely known as the ugliest of the gods—the God of the Forge, Hephaestus!

When Pegasus arrived at the scene, carrying Promise and the others, and they saw the scene below, everyone—except for Promise—couldn't help but laugh.

Even Hecate, Nyx, and Pegasus found the situation amusing.

After all, this line up was simply too interesting.

The deep tension between Hera and Hephaestus needed no explanation, and their complicated ties to Promise were even more apparent.

The goddess of beauty, Aphrodite, under Hera's command, had been married to Hephaestus, meaning Hephaestus was still technically her husband.

As Promise stared down at the scene, his scalp tingling, he noticed Hestia, the one goddess unrelated to the drama below, waving at him with a smile.

It was obvious that this pink-and-black guy had deliberately piled them together!

"Let's go, let's go!" Promise urged Pegasus, desperate to leave the area.

"Oh, come on, stay a bit longer! Aren't you going to say hello to your goddess teacher and... your goddess?" Hecate seized the chance to tease Promise relentlessly.

Pegasus, meanwhile, refused to budge, seemingly entranced by the grass below, as if it were the most appetizing thing in the world.

It wasn't until Promise kicked him that the winged horse reluctantly started moving again.

As a shooting star streaked across the sky, Hera looked up, watching Promise and his group fly off.

Then, turning her gaze back to the goddesses before her, she paused for a moment, deep in thought.

And then, to everyone's surprise, she actually smiled at this moment.

"Let's go," Hera said softly, turning around and adding, "Let's witness together how that boy... will defeat the flawless Goddess of Wisdom."
