章節 10: THE CHOICE
Clara and Anthony came down stairs after a while.
It was mainly Clara getting muddle headed about in the shower and taking more time.
Eventually they were sitting in the dining hall as they had their breakfast.
It was just some scrambled eggs and toast.
After a long silence with Clara not responding to anything Anthony was saying,they saw Thomas coming out of his room.
'Finally!, I can talk to someone'. Thought Anthony as he greeted his grandpa.
"Morning grandpa".
"Ohh!"
"You have finally woken up kid".
"Don't scare us like that.Clara was pretty much anxious about you".
Said Thomas as he sold his daughter without hesitation.
"Father!!!,what are you even saying".
Shouted Clara with a pout on her face as she wants to hide somewhere from embarrassment she was having.
Anthony seemed to have found her situation very entertaining as he asked his grandpa.
"Sooo..., besides her being a crybaby, what else happened grandpa?"
Thomas just sighed as he noticed how his grandson is already talking about business even though he just woke up.
"Nothing major has happened kid,but I still have a good news for you". Said Thomas.
Anthony seemed to have understood what it was as he questioned his grandfather.
"Please tell me it is what I think it is".
Said Anthony with anticipation and hope in his voice.
"You bet it is.We have the Google".
Said Thomas with a proud smirk on his face as he looked at his grandson.
Anthony was having a big smile on his face.It was the first one from the moment he came to the marvel verse.
Clara was also very happy as she saw him smile for the first time in a long while.
Anthony calmed down after a while as he still has many things he had to ask.
Thomas knowing about his grandson, answered the questions patiently as Anthony wanted to clear his doubts.
Clara also heard the conversation as she asked some of her own questions.
Clara still didn't talk with Anthony.She wanted him to know that she was still mad at him.
She will wait till he says sorry before anything.
Mean while,her father again said about how he had brought Google.
He said that the signing of papers was only pending and it would be done in a week.
After having finished their business talks along with the breakfast.They were asking Anthony what was in the basement that made him stay there for such a long time.
He even became a sleepless kid for it to be built.

(In the basement)
The basement was very spacious.It had a room built,where Anthony was working some time ago.
"So, this is what the inside of the room looks like".
Thought Clara aloud as she looked around the room.
It was a well lit room with the walls and the floor being grayish white.It was in a rectangular room with a door on the shorter side of the room.
It had all the necessities for living, as they were kept in room at the side.
But the focus of the father and daughter duo was on the mechanical parts and computers which were opened and kept at a side rather very orderly.
The room wasn't looking like a mess they thought it would.
Anthony just rolled his at their baffled faces as they looked at his mini lab.
Yes,it is a sort of mini lab with all the minimum tools.
He will build a real lab very soon.
"So,this is the thing I was working was on".
Said Anthony as he took them to a computer display which was connected to a server he built.
A lot of wires were sticking out of it as they looked at it.
Anthony just typed on the keyboard as the screen slowly booted up.
The screen was black at the start as it slowly zoomed towards the logo which showed the letters 'ACT' in the middle.
The background transitioned from black to red with the logo being silvery white.
The desktop page has opened up for the viewers as it looked very different from the 2000's.
Mean while Thomas and Clara were still shocked as they understood what they looking at.
Anthony went and build a freaking OS in a single month.
They didn't know what to say about as he was showing his futuristic designs and functions of the operating system to them.
Excellent was not enough to describe how good it was.
This operating system alone has left the industry in dust by a long mile.
"This is the prototype version as it is still needed to be launched and make adjustments".
Said Anthony as he finished showing some of it's basic features.
"So,what do you think?".
Asked Anthony as he turned around.
Honestly, this was the best he could do in such a short period of time and the very old model tools of this era.
But he still tried to complete it as fast as possible without compromising on the quality.
It was not very easy to rebuild the operating system based on the future models much less making some of his own tinkering in them.
"This is very good and I can't find the words to say anything,Anthony,but how did you learn about coding and computers?". Asked Thomas as he is very eager to know about it.
Clara eyes were still on the monitor but she perked her ears as she also wanted to know about it.
("Obviously, from the future") Anthony felt it would be a very interesting scene to look at when he would say that.
"It's mostly from the books.They have all the information about coding".
Said Anthony with a nonchalant expression.
Thomas twitched his lips at his grandson saying it was a child's story book he read and freaking understood.
Clara suddenly looked at Anthony as she spoke with him the first time from the morning.
She had already forgotten about him having to say sorry,as she had her own doubts to ask.
"So,is this the SEER you were talking about?".
Said Clara as she pointed towards an icon showing infinity.
The icon has SEER named below it.
Thomas and Clara has obviously forgotten about the SEER as they were thinking about the OS.
Thomas also looked at Anthony inquiringly as he also wanted to know about what it was.
Anthony just satisfied by giving the two of them a little show off.
"Hey Seer, please introduce your self".
Said Anthony as he saw confusion in their eyes as he said that.
[Hello,Mr.Thomas,
And hello to you as well Ms.Clara,
I'm the SEER,an Artificial Intelligence created by Anthony Fredd.]
Said Seer as he completed his introduction in a robotic voice.
Clara and Thomas just stood there with out a word for a while, as they slowly processed what had just happened.
May be creating an OS can still be in range of a genius but it is monstrous to create an AI at the age of 7.
He was secretly happy that he got their faces recorded.He will try to create memes of them in the future for sure.
'Thanks Seer'.Anthony gave his thanks to the cameraman
"That was Seer.He is the AI made for assisting me and the company in the near future".Said Anthony.
"Assisting?, like what?".
Asked Clara as she still didn't know about its functions.
"It can easily manage the database that too,write letters,connect to the internet and most importantly it reduces the man power needed for us to run a company".
Said Anthony some of the simple functions it has with out saying it's true purpose.
Obviously,you can't just be a normal businessman or kid (I don't know ) in Marvel.
......
Anthony and the other two went upstairs after spending another two hours debating and discussing about the future.
Today,Anthony went outside for the first time in a while.
He was always occupied with something and most importantly,he didn't have any interest in going out.
But now that he got some time to rest,he walked outside to the nearby park.
Of course, he was not alone as Clara was also by his side.She is like a tail, but very big.
Clara was feeling a mix of emotions as she walked by his side.
Even though he was small, he looked like a huge mountain in her eyes.
She was feeling that she couldn't reach the top no matter how hard she tried.
If anybody said that a 7 year old boy will make a business plan that even the experts couldn't make and he even build a FREAKING AI,she would have laughed so hard at that joke.
Now she was feeling like her whole life is a joke.
She was already feeling accomplished when she thought she would graduate in less than a year.
Now she couldn't pride herself, even if she tried to.
Mean while Anthony was having his own philosophical thoughts as he walked in the park.
'Only a month has passed but it sure feels like ages since I came here'.
'Well,knowing that there is in 50% chance you will die does make you more motivated'.He thought sarcastically.
When he came to the Marvel verse, he didn't panic and became an idiot due to all the pressure for some reasons.But most importantly, it was his will to survive that made him sane.
He thought about the time he made his choice.
