Joahna Moriarty stood outside Hell's Kitchen, taking a deep breath before knocking on the door. It was early, before the restaurant had opened for the day, and she hoped to catch Victor before his busy evening began. The door creaked open, and Victor himself stood there, looking slightly surprised but welcoming.
"Detective Moriarty, what brings you here so early?" he asked, stepping aside to let her in.
"I need your help, Victor," Joahna said, her voice steady but her eyes betraying a hint of urgency. "This case I'm working on... it's more complex than anything I've handled before. I need a new perspective and, if things go wrong, someone strong to back me up."
Victor nodded thoughtfully, guiding her to a quiet corner of the restaurant. "Tell me about the case," he said, his voice calm and reassuring.
