Doyun felt, it was her way of drawing a line between them, to prevent him from acting the same way as when they first started their secret affair.
She was the same woman who had linked him up with the Knet program. But this huge amount of money being given to him scares him.
Is he going to lose his first love again? Yes, you heard right. She's the first and only woman that he's ever loved romantically, and still loves.
She is the reason he is no longer on good terms with his close friends after his dad's funeral.
They're all against him seeing her again. He had been a mess, and it took such a long time for him to refocus his attention on his studies, as the Suneung (The Korean National Final Exam), was near.
He never really got over her and he still hasn't, he just keeps his emotions subtle, so she doesn't run away, again.
Hence why he is apprehensive instead of being happy after receiving the check from her.
"Noona, what is this? Are you trying to leave me? Again?!" He combs his fingers through his hair as sweat started to gather on his forehead.
Kim Hee-Jin bent down and gave him a light kiss, "No, Doyun a. I'm not going anywhere." She said and stood up to continue fixing herself.
"Then why this huge amount of money?"
"Doyun a, you can't hide anything from me, you know that right? I know when something is occupying your mind..."
