~~~Yao, Royal Forest, Xandar~~~
~~~July 1942~~~
Crossing the portal, I came to a beautiful meadow, and the atmosphere here completely captivated me, the air was pure, the wind was strong and free, and the light of the stars was cast like lanterns from the sky, it was beautiful.
It was something I had not witnessed for many years, as human advancement had entered a stage where the planet and its beauties were suffering, but here, it was as if I was in a bygone and archaic era, full of natural vitality and pristine beauty.
Were it not for the bodies I could see on the ground, as well as the small fight that originated several meters away from me? Two Asgardians were on the ground dead, and the remaining two were in worse condition, something that would cause an event of interplanetary complexities, something that Earth could not win at this stage, although if they received the help of these enigmatic people, there might be a chance.
The people the Asgardians were fighting had enhancers in their bodies, they enjoyed physical aptitudes far superior to humans, and their weapons... It was as if they were relics similar to those stored in the three temples.
More surprises were coming my way, something completely new, but at the same time that related so much to this planet and the universe as a whole that, it seemed as if fate itself had pulled the wires for this whole... Place, to arrive.
"Fiuuu"
A low, but almost imperceptible sound distracted me, causing me to look down at my chest, more specifically at the Eye of Agamotto, but the artifact itself was not what was important, but what it held. The gem of time had stopped glowing, as if its power had been ripped out by the roots, along with its connection to this universe.
This surprised me, and without wasting time, I opened a portal and arrived at the temple again, and the gem glowed green again, at the same time bursting with energy in its fullness. My eyes widened with surprise and confusion, and willing to verify my theory, I returned to where I was before.
The gem had gone out again, and after a few recognition spells, I instructed that the gem had lost its anchoring root with this universe, which surprised me since it was still in... The universe, wasn't it?
This immediately raised alarms in me, but after several minutes of analysis, I could not come up with a logical answer to all this for the first time in my life. What made the gem lose its power when it arrived here? I knew that gems lost their power when separated from their universe of origin, that's why in the TVA dimension, gems were useless, but now, a gem lost its power in its universe.
Which only meant several things, one, that this... The continent was still connected to its universe of origin, something completely crazy in itself, which made the gem enter this space, disconnected from its universe, or two, something much more powerful than the gems was interfering and protecting this place from the gems themselves.
Maybe that was why she couldn't enter using the gem vision because her power was being stopped, but what was this due to, and why?
"Why are you confused Ancient One?" Suddenly, a voice brought me out of my thoughts, and I chided myself for letting my guard down, but the matter of the time gem troubled me that I didn't feel when someone approached me.

The view that the block of structures offered me showed me the whole situation in real time that was happening near me, and so far the event had not escalated to major, the armed forces of Xandar had turned out to be full in dealing with the Asgardians, keeping the situation was under control, but still, I knew that with the death of them, Asgard would not stand idly by, and knowing Heimdall's gift of looking where he should not, maybe already Asgard is preparing to invade on a large scale the earth.
I didn't know why I had been sent to Marvel of all things, in the previous world all was well, Xandar enjoyed complete autonomy and terrifying and decisive power, and there was no power to stop it, but now, by things of fate, or some greater power, we had been sent to this hell, where every Friday there was a catastrophic event.
Even so, I did not let the situation control me, Xandar depended on my guidance, especially now that we were in a different and very dangerous universe, and I prayed every second that I had not fallen into a zombie universe or some comic book.
Because if so, the only route would be to find a planet away from everything and take my people with me, and there we could rebuild again. Even so, my pride would not let me show cowardice, and that would be my last route. For now, I would face everything that came with the edge of my sword and the breath of Endoxes.
I knew that fighting Odin would be difficult, in the UCM he was shown as very nerfed, but the truth was I did not know if this universe followed the paths of the comics or the cinematography, so far, the Witches and the Enderman had been shown strong and far superior to the Asgardians, but I knew I could not trust, especially when thinking about the hidden powers that the æsir could have.
Now, a few minutes after arriving at the battlefield, I felt something new, several meters from where the Bifrost had fallen in the first place, I felt a great source of energy since I had learned of the omniscient sub-power that the block of structures offered me, now I saw the world differently, much more alive, I felt the energy of the plants, the animals, the people around me, even the energy given off by the inorganic and organic materials, it was like placing my arm in front of an old television screen, in which you will feel a sensation of attraction and a little tingling throughout the body, that's how I felt.
I didn't know where that power came from, because the block of structures only showed the part of the earth it encompassed that was ready for change, but still, it was an impulse that would help me in this crazy universe, and I hoped to use it to its fullest, and now, that sensation had increased, fed by a large energy source, and from what I felt it was human, not even the Asgardians gave off that.
With that in mind, and wanting to find out what it was, I ordered Endoxes to change course and head to where I felt the energy, at the same time I concentrated and tried to detail what or who it was, but the energy light showing made it impossible for me to see what it was, and I only saw the luminous humanoid form.
"Stay here, I'm flying!" when Endoxes arrived at the place, I gave him instructions, and at the same time I ordered the Wither not to move from the place and not to attack anyone, and after that, I launched myself from Endoxes' back and started to plummet towards the ground, flying towards where I felt the signature.
After a few seconds, I arrived several meters away from where the battle was taking place between my forces and the remaining Asgardians, on a large rock that overlooked the whole panorama.
There, I saw a woman, with bronze robes and an outstanding beauty, but what caught my attention the most was the necklace in the shape of an eye that she was wearing. The eye of Agamotto, the gem of time, supreme sorcerer, Yao. Memories of a life that several years ago belonged to me came to my mind, and just when I thought I only had Asgardians to deal with, along came one of Marvel's heavyweights as a whole, and I thought my luck wouldn't get any worse.
However, getting a better look at the woman, I saw that she looked a lot like Tilda Swinton, only much younger... And with hair. Which surprised me, but by now I had an open mind to better receive the surprises that came to me every minute.
She seemed to be in a trance, her gaze lost in the horizon, and deciding to intervene, I approached the ground; "Why are you confused Ancient One?" I suddenly commented, watching as Yao immediately turned to me, and though she tried to hide it, I could see her surprise and... Confusion? On her face, the sorcerer supreme was more distracted than I thought, something strange about her, from what I remembered from the movies.
As for why I decided to call her by name, it was because I was inclined to go the route of someone unknown with some sort of superior knowledge, which would put me on, if only a little, equal footing when talking to her, that, and I didn't want to come across as an asshole with no account of himself. I'd better leave that to Jon Snow.
"Ready for a chat, sorcerer supreme?" I asked, and seeing that she didn't react, I decided to continue.
"Asgard has decided to invade my realm, and as you will see, the response they received from Xandar was not what perhaps Odin expected, so now, the earth could enter into a full scale war with Asgard, and although I am confident in.... win it, I cannot say how the planet would be left once the war is over".
"So would you accept an alliance between Xandar and Kamar Taj, for the wonderful future that could await the earth because of this bond?"
