"Really?" Silvia's eyes widened, and her face lit up.

"That means you're still going to help me clear out the cave?" Silvia asked with a soft and slightly pleading voice. Her tone was always confident, but ever since the incident with the horned rabbits, her voice softened a bit when she spoke to Ren, without her even realizing it.

"If you wish, I'll pay you for your services, with or without equipment."

Ren shook his head. "We've already made a deal. Besides, I'm the one who insisted that we need a tank in the group. As long as he's capable and I get gear that suits me, I don't mind if I get less loot."

Silvia closed her eyes for a moment and let out a breath.

"Thank you. I do hope you'll continue to listen to me, even if I'm not the leader," she joked.

Ren casually ignored her relief and replied in a monotone, "You're my client. You hired me. No matter who the leader is, I'll only listen to you."
