"Lord Ronnie, we've lost the signal on the other side of the sea island's throat," someone said in a measured voice.
"How many days?"
"It's been over 8 hours since the shift change, and we've sent out new throat, but signals were lost after their departure too. Based on our estimates, there's a high likelihood that enemies are lying in wait on the other side of the space passage," the person in charge of communication said calmly.
"So soon?" Ronnie sighed. "To be discovered in just one year."
They had deployed six Transcendent senior Beast Tamers to take turns guarding the other side of the space passage.
Each person was on duty for 8 hours, changing shifts every two days.
Even if one was at the peak of Transcendence, as long as they intended to escape and had made preparations in advance, it was impossible for a high-ranking Transcendent Beast Tamer to lose signal so silently without any message.
Only when facing Ascension might they be completely left behind without a trace.
