The next morning, I awoke to the gentle warmth of the sun filtering through the curtains and the sound of birds chirping cheerfully outside. It felt like the start of a perfect day. I turned my head slightly to see Seraphina still asleep beside me, her face relaxed and peaceful. A soft smile tugged at my lips as I watched her, feeling a rush of affection and gratitude for the woman who had been my rock and my strength through so many trials.

I reached out to gently brush a strand of hair from her face, and she stirred, her eyes fluttering open. A sleepy smile spread across her face when she saw me.

"Good morning," she murmured, her voice still husky with sleep.

"Good morning," I replied softly, leaning in to kiss her forehead. "Did you sleep well?"

"Better than I have in ages," she said, stretching and yawning. "How about you?"

"Same here," I said, snuggling closer to her. "I think I could get used to mornings like this."
