TYLER’s POV

“Tyler?” mom’s eyes widened with the scene she was witnessing and rushed towards Maxine to stop her from falling backward when I harshly pushed her away from me. “What are you doing?”

“Mom, I’m fine…” Maxine whispered and looked down. I scoffed at her drama, pretending like she was the victim here.

“Oh, are you two back together?” mom asked, her eyes glistening with excitement.

“No—“

“Why not?” mom’s eyes widened as she glared at me. “I can see that you still love each other. C’mon Tyler…”

“No, mom. I don’t love her anymore. I’m in love with somebody else!” I announced before I ran towards the door and left them dumbfounded.

“Tyler, you come back here!” I heard mom call out but I ignored her and continued running outside, hoping I could still see Stella.
