STELLA’s POV

Tyler went with me to the principal’s office and accompanied me in waiting until Mrs. Carter has arrived. My hands were shaking while Tyler was still holding it, trying to make me calm.

I hoped that everything went well and I could still get back to my class after a month of not attending school.

“Miss Hemmings, long time no see.” Mrs. Carter said as soon as she entered her office, taking the seat behind the desk, in front of me and Tyler. “I’m glad you’re back. Are you feeling okay now?”

“I’m sorry, Miss Carter but I’ve been—“

“You don’t have to explain yourself, Stella. Someone did it for you already.” She cut me off. “Mr. Choi called the moment he brought you in his house and told me everything. You’re lucky he’s the one who got you.”
