I calmed myself and grabbed Uno’s arm. He looked at me, his eyes glassy from the tears that was ready to fall down.

“Uno, you can’t keep blaming yourself. Kate isn’t normal. We’re through with it, right? We already talked about it, and you agreed to help her. She had tried hurting herself so many times and will continue doing so if we don’t take proper action against it.” I sighed. “She’s suicidal, Uno and you fucking know that. What you did was for her own good. It wasn’t your fault. You didn’t know she would end up doing this to herself.”

Uno looked down again, nodding to himself. He leaned back, placing a large palm on my thigh. I slowly intertwined our hands, the same emotion once again showed up but I ignored it. If my little action was providing Uno with comfort then why not?

“I’ll help her, Ash. But please, help me too.”

“Of course, Uno.” I smiled and he kissed my forehead.

“Where’s her dad, by the way?” I asked out of curiosity.
