Xiao Li followed closely behind him, chasing him out in a strange posture. With blood all over his mouth, he rushed towards the person closest to him and opened his mouth to bite.
There was another scream of terror in the corridor. Several big men quickly went up to hold Xiao Li back, stuffing something into his mouth and tying his hands and feet with ropes before pushing him back into the room.
In order to subdue him alone, several people were bitten by him.
The most serious one was the person he knocked down, who had a large piece of flesh bitten off.
The doctor rushed over and quickly treated their injuries. The people in the hallway were panicked and sat slumped in the hallway panting heavily. They were uneasy and wondered, "Could Xiao Li have gotten rabies?"
Wen Nannan carefully stuck her head out of the crack in the door and asked, "Chef Zhu, are you okay? What happened to Xiao Li?"
Chef Zhu held his bleeding arm and shook his head with a pale face. "Xiao Li has gone crazy. He bites everyone he sees. You go back to sleep. We'll handle it."
"Oh, okay. You should let the doctor take a look."
Wen Nannan took another look at the wound on Chef Zhu's hand and gently closed the door.
The moment she closed the door, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand on end - just twenty minutes ago, she had delivered dinner to Xiao Li.
Recalling the wounds bitten by Chef Zhu and the others, Wen Nannan felt a surge of unease. Looking out through the peephole in the door, she noticed that people outside had gradually returned to their respective rooms.
The storm was still raging on the sea, and the whole night was accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Sea Survival, Day 5, 7:00 AM
Wen Nannan went to the kitchen to get food and saw several cleaners cleaning the blood on the ground with mops and rags. The corridor was filled with the smell of disinfectant.
Xiao Li was locked up, and there was only a small hole in the door to pass food to prevent him from biting people.
The cabin was in panic, with several people blocking the entrance to the medical room, seeming to be engaged in a heated argument.
Wen Nannan pushed the dining cart closer and heard a young man say loudly, "We can't let them out. Who knows if Xiao Li has rabies? Will it be contagious if he bites? What if they also become like Xiao Li, going crazy and biting people?"
"Captain, Xiao Gao is right."
Another woman also nodded. "We're just taking precautions. Not letting them out will also help them heal better."
The captain obviously couldn't refute these people, so he had to nod in agreement.
"Okay. Seal this place off for now. No one is allowed in except the doctor and the person delivering the food." After he finished speaking, everyone looked at Wen Nannan who was passing by.
"Nan, you and Dr. Song will be in charge of this." The captain patted Wen Nannan on the shoulder encouragingly.
Wen Nannan blinked. "Captain, I'm scared." She didn't want to do this job.
"They just got bitten once. What's there to be afraid of? Sailing requires courage. You may encounter more serious things in the future." The captain encouraged her, "There are very few female crew members. I have high hopes for you."
Wen Nannan smiled stiffly... It's really unnecessary.
