Serena was not sure what she was doing wrong but no matter how she tried, she can't get a hold of Christopher. It was like he was really avoiding her.

Thankfully, Emily was resourceful, and she knew which parties to attend so she would have a 'chance' encounter with Christopher. Truthfully, she's already losing hope. If tonight doesn't work out. ugh! Later would already be her 7th attempt.

It was so dreadful to wait for him to appear in those events. From Duke Ligeti's dance party, she has already made it obvious to everyone what her purpose was. It doesn't help that in the succeeding events she attended she would obviously approach Christopher whenever given the chance.
