The walk back into her room was far worse than the relief she had expected. Her usually cold room was like a ball of steam had been dropped somewhere hidden. If felt like she had just walked into a burning room.

She could almost feel the skin on her hands peeling. Could see the upper layer getting split open to reveal reddish coals that looked baked. That was what her eyes saw, a testament to the delusional state her mind was in. Her frantic fingers began to tear away the wet dress she was wearing as well as the measly damp under garments. The woman stood exactly just like the day she was born, very naked. In her crazed state she peered through the lace fabric expecting to see blood but all she saw was a clear slippery liquid that smelled rather strange.
