"Although your skills already qualify you to become Genin, this Genin status is only temporary due to the urgency of the mission," said Sakumo.

Minato and Uchiha Homura's expressions became serious. Although not yet ninja, they understood the basics of assassination and infiltration.
Since the assassination target was confirmed to arrive in the Land of Hot Water in three days, they, as the assassins, needed to reach there even earlier, not fighting an unprepared battle.

"From now on, we're comrades in arms. Let's work together to complete this mission," Minato smiled, his expression as comforting as the morning sun.
Even Uchiha Homura couldn't dislike such a Minato, but changing their relationship was unlikely.
He turned his face away, ignoring Minato's gesture, and walked out the door.
"Heh," Minato let out an awkward laugh in the now empty room, retracting his fist before leaving as well.
Minato returned to the classroom, where Kushina and Mikoto were still waiting for him to have lunch together. He smiled and approached them.
They didn't ask about Kunio Shindo calling Minato out, as he was considered the top student in the class, frequently favored by the teachers, so it wasn't unusual.
"Ah, class is starting again," Kushina groaned, ruffling her red hair in frustration. According to the schedule, the entire afternoon would be dedicated to theory classes, her least proficient subject – a living hell for her.
Kunio Shindo entered the classroom without any teaching materials. As Kushina's expression showed her distress, he scanned the class and announced, "Students, afternoon classes are canceled. You're on vacation."
The students were stunned by this sudden vacation, and the entire classroom fell silent, except for Minato, who had prior knowledge.
However, this silence only lasted a few moments before erupting into cheers.
"Awesome!"
After all, they were still children, and vacations held an irresistible allure, causing many to exclaim excitedly.
Kunio Shindo sighed, then continued, "This vacation isn't for playing around. The Chunin Exams just ended, and you all must have gained your own realizations and growth towards becoming ninja. This vacation time is for you to improve yourselves."
Previously, saying this would have been like leaving sheep unattended, with no one caring about the purpose of the vacation. However, after Kunio Shindo's words, the excited voices in the classroom gradually diminished.

"Kunio-sensei, how many days is this vacation?"
