Lake walked over and sat down, the massive leather chair dwarfing him.

Davian letting him handle things didn't feel like he was being patronized, if anything, the Alpha's gray eyes felt less cold now.

"Do you want me to stay here during the interview?" Davian offered, hovering over the chair.

Lake tipped his head back to look at him, "Yes, please," He murmured, his nerves audible in his voice.
