Upon reaching the entrance of the house, Draco could see Grandma Anita talking with a cloaked figure.
"Ah, there you are, Draco. Come over here," Anita called out upon noticing his presence.
Draco walked up to her along with Vasiliki, who stood shyly behind him.
'What's wrong with her?' Draco wondered. She was so giddy a few moments ago, and now she was acting shy.
"Rize, this is my grandson I told you about," Anita introduced, pulling Draco in front of her while placing both her arms tightly on his shoulders.
"No need to be shy, she is a high elf that I invited. Basically, elven royalty, she is well-versed in magic and alchemy," Anita added.
'I am not shy' Draco protested internally.
"Uhm, Hi, I am Draco Black, nice to meet you. Rize sensei," Draco introduced.
The cloaked person was called Rize, a friend of Anita.
She was wrapped up quite well, only her eyes and ears visible from her dressing.
She smelled like flowers and gave off a mysterious vibe to the unknowing.
Draco knew that elves in this world were quite narcissistic about their beauty, even the nice ones.
Gasp!!
Rize let out a small gasp upon seeing Draco but quickly covered it up.
Her eyes scanning him with curiosity that she couldn't disguise.
"Hmmm," Rize coolly replied, she had a surprised expression, at least from what Draco saw in her eyes.
"It can't be, he doesn't seem to be a god so that can only mean he might be that," Rize muttered.
'Does she know of my race?' Draco wondered; he has picked up on what she said.
"Do you know something about my Grandson?" Anita asked curiously. She had also picked up on what Rize muttered.
"I am not exactly sure if he is the real deal or not, but I think that your Grandson might be a true Dragon-kin," Rize replied.
"You make it sound as if there are others," Anita said.
"That I do not know for sure, but there has been rumours of their sighting within the last 300 years. I looked into the elven royal records after seeing your letter. There wasn't very much information, but the last time a real one was seen, was about 1000 years ago. Do you understand what that means?" Rize questioned.
"Doesn't that just show how awesome my Grandson is," Rita said, joining the conversation.
"And who might you be?" Rize questioned; she didn't know who Rita was.
"You can call me Rita," she replied.
"…, anyway that aside can you teach him magic?" Anita asked.
She didn't really care what Draco was; he was simply her grandson, that was all.
"Sigh, that is so like you," Rize muttered before taking off her cloak, revealing what was underneath.
From beneath the cloak, a slender figure emerged, her graceful movements showing the elegance of her status.
Her delicate features were framed by locks of shimmering, silver-blonde hair that cascaded down her back in gentle waves.
Her complexion was flawless, with skin that appeared to glow with an ethereal luminescence.
Her eyes were large and almond-shaped, the irises a captivating shade of cerulean blue that seemed to hold the depth and mystery of the ocean.
Her brows were thin and arched, giving her an expression that was both serene and subtly inquisitive.
The slope of her nose was gentle and refined, complementing the soft, full contours of her lips.
Draco, Vasiliki, and Rita were stunned by how beautiful she looked.
"As beautiful as ever Rize," Anita complimented in a sarcastic tone.
"Fufufu...You're not looking so bad yourself, considering your age," Rize replied, with a light chuckle.
They both stared at each other, sparks flying between them.
"Ahem, shouldn't I show the guest to her room. She must have traveled a long distance to get here," Rita interrupted; she could tell that something might go wrong if she didn't intervene now.
"Hmmf," Anita scoffed, turning away and leaving.
"Sigh, still the same temper as always. I wonder why John even picked her," Rize muttered.
She and Anita had been love rivals in the past. John was quite the popular man when he was younger.
"Anyway, why don't you tell me more about this Dragon-kin thing over tea," Rita suggested with Anita gone.
"Oh my, that would be lovely," Rize replied; she did like tea and snacks quite a lot.
"Uhm, what about me?" Draco asked.
"Training begins tomorrow morning, so be ready by then," Rize replied while walking away with Rita.
'For some reason, I don't like the fact that they get along,' Draco thought.
Thud!
Turning to his right, Draco could see Vasiliki on the ground.
"What's wrong with you?" Draco asked.
"Didn't you see how awesome and beautiful she was? She looked like a princess from the fairy tales," Vasiliki replied.
'What nonsense is she saying?' Draco wondered.
"Sigh, boys wouldn't get it anyway," Vasiliki said upon seeing his expression.
"Ok, I will be going to cool off; you keep doing whatever it is you're doing," Draco replied before walking away.
........
The next day...
Draco woke up earlier than normal in the morning to get some physical workout.
Rize had said that magic training was in the morning, so his normal routine would be disrupted.
Draco was extremely excited to learn how to use his magic.
There was no one that didn't want to cast a magic spell at least once in their life.
After his workout, he had his usual hefty breakfast, then went to wait in the field for the others to arrive.
Rize was first going to check everyone's aptitude for magic, then she would begin teaching the ones with a strong aptitude for it.
After her rigorous checking process, it was determined that only Draco and Vasiliki had strong aptitudes for magic.
Vasiliki was very thrilled to hear the news; she seemed to have become attached to Rize for some reason.
Rize also offered to teach basic alchemy lessons after the magic lesson ended.
This was compulsory for everyone; they needed to at least know the value of alchemical ingredients.
Soon everyone dispersed, except Draco and Vasiliki who remained seated for the magic lesson.
"Alright, I will begin with a question. Do any of you know what magic is?" Rize asked.
"Uhm, it's a mysterious force that can alter reality through the use of spells, charms, incantations, etc.," Draco answered.
"That is correct," Rize praised; Vasiliki just sent him a glare.
"Ahem, there are two types of magic. Magic based on the ability of your species or born with, also known as congenital magic. Any other form of magic is the second type called acquired magic," Rize explained.
"Most currently known acquired magic is known to be developed by elves of the past, but no one knows if they created it themselves or were taught by another race," Rize said.
"Is it okay to reveal something like this to us?" Draco asked.
"It's not a problem; most elves are narcissistic idiots anyways," Rize said.
"Oh, did I say that out loud, erase that from your minds," Rize threatened, Draco and Vasiliki just nodded.
"Anyway, there may be other magic created by other races, but most have been lost in time. Even if found, they are mostly used for magic research for those who choose to delve into its depths," Rize continued explaining.
