Sitting in the car, Marissa waited for Dean to receive her call. Rafael was sitting beside her, holding her hand, their fingers intertwined.
This was the best choice for her not to leave him alone and take him alongside.
Kids were at Sophie's so she couldn't send Rafael there.
"I'm sorry. But please take care of the meetings today. Especially the ones that involve Iron rods issue for the bricks," she explained to Dean busily, checking something on her tab.
"What do you mean? They'll be pissed if they don't find you here!" The sharp edge in Dean's voice reached her ear and she placed the phone a little away from her face.
"I'm sorry and I trust you, Dean," she said controlling her laughter. After Sophie, if there was one person she had to trust, that was Dean.
He could get stern with her, scold her but ultimately give up to her stupid demands.
"You are a she-devil and you owe me big time," he retorted like a nagging, complaining wife.
