Moon took in a breath. No one loved her. No one could, after all. Sure, she was smart and carried with her an air of intelligence, but that was all. She was almost always late or sometimes didn't care at all. She couldn't do anything on her own and relied on her water spirits a bit too much. Who would love her, then?
Venus, who seemed to sense something, suddenly stepped back, folding his arms respectfully behind his back.
"I do. I do. I swear on it."
Moon looked away.
"But why?"
Venus scratched his head and then seemed to blink back to his senses in the span of a few seconds. He grabbed Moon's wrist.
"I'll help you free Terra. But we have to go."
Then Moon turned to look at Venus. His eyes were full of something she hadn't quite seen before. Worry? Then she decided to ask.
"Are you… worried about me?"
Venus stared at her for a minute. Then he smirked and let go of her wrist.
"Of course not. You can handle yourself. Let's go."
Soon, Moon was following Venus through a series of corridors. They were moldy and grimy, but luckily Moon covered her hair with her cloak. Venus was in front of her, occasionally muttering directions and occasionally glancing at her with fiery eyes. Moon drifted away in those eyes for a minute, before snapping back to her senses and pulling her cloak tighter, much to Venus's amusement. He simply smirked and said nothing.
Then, they reached the cell.
It was empty.
Moon took in a sharp breath.
"Where is she-" but her words were cut off.
Someone held a rock to her throat from behind. A sharp rock - cold and pricking her warm skin. A single dark sage lock dribbled over the rock and from behind. A familiar gaze seemed to be tracking her. Moon didn't need to turn around to see exactly who it was. Almost instantly, Venus backed away, hands held up.
"Tell me what's happening right now or else she dies." Terra hissed.
