Once again, Moon was left at a loss. Venus was… Earth? So, Terra was Proxima and Venus was Earth? There was silence for another minute before Moon heard footsteps towards the door she was standing in front of. The conversation had ended, but she had realized it a bit too late.
She had to move -
The footsteps grew closer. 10 yards.
Moon got up abruptly -
The footsteps grew closer. 5 yards.
Moon looked around frantically and then decided to run, seeing as there were no corners to hide behind.
The door opened.
Moon uncapped the vial of water around her waist. Almost instantly all the water flew out, Aqua emerging in the drops, and Moon held out her hands.
"AQUA! HELP ME!" The water spirit batted liquid eyelashes at her for a minute, before grabbing her hand. Venus, who had by now seen her, reached out as well. He caught the edge of Moon's cloak just as Aqua caught her hand. For a minute, time stopped.
Both longing for things they couldn't have. Venus for Moon's hand, Moon for the power to move without Aqua's help. Then Moon felt her grip weaken. Aqua cried out, her fluid eyebrows knitting together, and then Moon's fingers slipped out of her grasp, and she fell into Venus's arms.
He caught her as she fell, and then, a minute later, Aqua screamed, "MY LADY!" as someone - Venus - shot what looked like a goop of magma out of his hands. It snaked towards Aqua, the flames flicking hungrily and turning into another humanoid figure - a fire spirit who tackled Aqua to the ground brutally.
There was another scream as both disappeared. Moon was still leaning against Venus, and she could feel his heart beating behind her back - twice the speed hers was going at, like a snare drum. Venus sighed, and whispered into her ear,
"Don't hate me, Merra."
