After navigating through a series of whirlpools, Lin Yan and Ain successfully arrived at Fishman Island.
"So beautiful!" Ain exclaimed, covering her mouth with one hand. It was her first time on Fishman Island, and she looked around in amazement, her eyes sparkling with wonder.
Lin Yan, although aware that Fishman Island belonged to the Whitebeard Pirates' territory, was equally awestruck. It was his first visit too, and he looked around curiously, like a country bumpkin visiting the city.
When Lin Yan saw real mermaids for the first time, his eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of the beautiful mermaid ladies.
"Captain... what are you looking at?" Ain noticed Lin Yan's excited gaze and looked at him with a resentful look.
"Uh! You're mistaken, I'm just admiring the scenery of Fishman Island!" Lin Yan quickly shifted his gaze and denied it.
"Really? Since when did you become so afraid to admit things? I wouldn't get angry!" Ain pouted, glancing at him.
Not get angry? Lin Yan could sense the tension in the air that felt like a woman's deep-seated grudge. This was called not getting angry?
"Ahem, I'm not looking, I'm not looking anymore! I swear on my honor as the captain of the Seventeenth Division!" Lin Yan promised, hoping to pacify Ain.
Ain looked down at her figure in frustration. She wasn't lacking in any way! Why didn't the captain ever look at her? Could it be that the captain preferred those with fiery, revealing figures? She raised her hand, noting her conservative attire. What if... she had more revealing clothes in her wardrobe? What would it be like?
Ain made a mental note to someday buy hundreds, maybe thousands of such outfits, changing every day without repeating!
"Alright, we're here for serious business!" Lin Yan said, patting Ain's shoulder and leading her towards the Dragon Palace. The Big Mom Pirates had been arrogant, sending their crew to Fishman Island during the War of the Best. Through force, they had threatened the Dragon Palace to build a sweets factory for them. Now the sweets factory was completed, standing in the middle of Fishman Island with candy soldiers guarding the surroundings.
Their initial plan was to take over Fishman Island while the Whitebeard Pirates were fighting at Marineford. However, the Big Mom Pirates didn't expect the Whitebeard Pirates to win the war and defeat the Navy. Everyone in the Big Mom Pirates was stunned. For those already occupying Fishman Island, they could only stare blankly, unable to advance or retreat. The candy factory was built, but what to do now? It was truly a headache.
On the other side, "Your Majesty, the Whitebeard Pirates are here!" a minister hurriedly ran through the palace corridors, arriving before King Neptune of Fishman Island, relaying the news.
"What did you say, the Whitebeard Pirates are here?" Hearing this, King Neptune's eyes lit up with joy.
"Yes, Your Majesty, and there's something you must know: the visitor is the captain of the Seventeenth Division!" The minister shouted, more excited than Neptune.
By now, the War of the Best had spread across the world. Who didn't know the famous captain of the Seventeenth Division?
"Captain of the Seventeenth Division?" Neptune stood up immediately. Having the Whitebeard Pirates visit was already a great blessing for the Dragon Palace. After all, the current Whitebeard Pirates were in a state of recuperation after the War of the Best.
"Hurry, invite him in!" Neptune tidied his appearance and then hurriedly sent the minister to bring Lin Yan in.
"No!" Neptune shook his head and solemnly said, "I'll go myself!" With that, Neptune personally led his men to welcome Lin Yan at the entrance.
