She tried to clobber and kick like her parents would do, but Skorzeny was quick to tie her in a bed-pillow bag, with her head still sticking out, and she screamed again, but was gagged with a handkerchief.
Skorzeny hauled her up, carrying her out of the nursery, through the house, and Susan saw Erskine bleeding to death as he tried to reach her with a hand clenching his belly, "Susan!".
Susan cried out to him muffled, tears falling, wishing so hard for her parents and Bucky, struggling to dig deep to the Quantonium inside her as Skorzeny took her out of the house, flinging her in in the backseat of a car, unknowing that her message for help within the Quantonium reached Peggy and Steve.
"Idiot...", Skorzeny said as he got into the car. His mission had not been easy, especially since he had quickly been brought back from Hungary only a day before. Schmidt's spies in the city as well as the French and Swiss countryside had gotten him through Switzerland and France in a small prop plane before he landed near Paris and met with the city spy who was currently driving the car. "Hurry it up, the police are bound to show up soon once someone realizes that they heard a gunshot."
"Jawohl.", the driver nodded as the car began to move fast for the plane so Susan could be brought back into the Fatherland and Schmidt... but he and Schmidt would be unaware that they were going to be leading a vengeful family right back to them.
Somewhere far from Paris, on the border of France-Germany, the trio of Peggy, Steve, and Bucky is currently keeping the bridge of Freiburg clear with additional bridges that Steve sketched out to bring to life, for more regiments of the Allies to go across the Rhine River to go assist 3rd Army.
Suddenly, Peggy and Steve doubled over, heaving, with Bucky calling out, "Steve, Peggy! Are you okay?!". Peggy gasped out, "Something's wrong! Susan's scared!", and Steve nodded, "I feel the same too!".
Bucky widened his eyes, "Oh, crud!", before leaping into Steve's hand, "Let's go, then!", and Peggy narrowed her eyes, flaming on, turning giant, and took Steve around his waist, with Steve carrying Bucky, and Peggy shot off for Paris, with not one, but two sonic booms.
Under a record of 10 minutes, they made it to Paris, with Peggy shrinking and flaming down, landing before the house, with Steve and Bucky already rushing into the house, with Steve widening his eyes in horror, "Doc!", running to Erskine who fluttered his eyes open, with Bucky and Peggy scouring the house, calling out for Susan with fear and horror.
Erskine weakly spoke, "I t-tried to protect her, Steven...He caught me off guard...", and Steve's eyes swelled in tears, "Who?".
Erskine weakly rasped out, "O-Otto Skorzeny.", looking so devastated, "I'm so sorry...He took her...S-Susan was b-brave...staying quiet...He somehow found her...I heard her screaming...I saw her alive but tied up...H-he told me that S-Schidmt wanted her for s-some reason. P-please forgive me, S-Steven...I really t-tried to s-save her...I t-told him that I-I would n-never give him my goddaughter w-willingly.".
Steve exhaled, tears falling, "I know, I know, Erskine...You did good...You tried your best, that's what a good man would do...Please don't go...Abraham...Dad.", and Erskine smiled weakly, blood bubbling over his lip, "My children w-would have loved a b-big brother...I'm g-going home, Steven...I k-know you...You are a g-good, honest man, and you are forever l-loyal to family...G-go save Susan...F-fight for her, P-Peggy, B-Bucky...I'll b-be watching over you, son. O-oh, I s-see them waiting...Greta..Marlene...Klaus...Please let me go, Steven.", weakly pointing to his heart.
Steve sobbed, "O-Okay, Dad..I promise I'll find Susan...", and Erskine smiled softly, and then exhaled one last breath, staring at something out of Steve's view, life fading from his eyes.
Steve closed his eyes tight as he wanted to cry; he knew there wasn't much time, but he just had to at least let his tears out over the death of the man that changed his life.
"Bucky... think you can track down Skorzeny? You know, by scent, perhaps?", Peggy suggested.
Bucky snorted, "Skorzeny? His scent is awful to my nostrils, but Susan, I can track her.", holding up Susan's wolf stuffy, "Her scent is imprinted on this.", before shifting to his full canine form, smelling deeply into the wolf stuffy, his ears pricked up before walking out of the house, following and sniffing the scent before giving out a long and deep howl, and ran, with the couple coming out, with Steve running after Bucky, with Peggy flaming on, flying above them.
Paris froze, with people staring, with vehicles stopping, shocked and awed and confused to see a giant fox-wolf running, with Captain America behind him, and Captain Britain above them, looking like something got into them, unknowing that their most valuable treasure has been stolen, kidnapped, and who knows what else?
Steve exhaled, tears falling, "I know, I know, Erskine...You did good...You tried your best, that's what a good man would do...Please don't go...Abraham...Dad.", and Erskine smiled weakly, blood bubbling over his lip, "My children w-would have loved a b-big brother...I'm g-going home, Steven...I k-know you...
