Lucius slid back by a few meters, while the energy arcs unleashed by Illumi wobbled violently, shrinking massively with each passing moment.

Stomping the ground, Lucius halted his retreat. His cold gaze fell on Illumi who was shocked that Lucius dealt with his attacks and came out unscathed. 

'Just before my attacks could land, he protected himself with his palm and absorbed everything.' Illumi muttered in his mind.

He was still shocked by the fact that Lucius was fighting them without the Devour ability, unlike last time. It felt like he had gotten to the level where he didn't necessarily need it.

Swish!

Suddenly, Zola shot past Illumi and charged toward Lucius, her fist swinging down on him viciously.

Boom!

Her attack struck his open palm, causing a powerful shockwave to erupt around the duo. Zola was stunned, seeing Lucius grab onto her hand casually as if it were nothing.
