Alex and Lucas shot through the air, listening to the harrowing cries of other participants who fell victim to the beast. 

"It must be a speed-type beast!" Lucas frowned.

"Yeah!" Alex nodded while his hair fluttered in the wind crazily.

As they approached the sloped ground of the mountain, Lucas clasped his hands together and a blue light erupted from his body.

"FORTRESS!"

Lucas bellowed as a circular blue barrier formed around him and Alex as they hit the slope, sliding down gracefully within the safety of the barrier.

Swish!

As they slid down the slope, Alex could feel more malicious Qi on the mountain, thickening. He could hear the cries of people who died brutal deaths at the hands of the beast within their Qi, they were begging to be avenged.

"How long can you maintain the barrier?" Alex asked.
