Lucius's words made Tala flinch as her gaze shifted to her partner, Liam. His face had a deep frown, and his beautiful white eyes were filled with rage.

"Are you threatening us?" Liam snarled. "Do you think because you are American, you can do as you wish?"

"To your second question, Yes." Lucius said, indifferent as his hands rubbed against the xenosteel chain and he began absorbing its properties.

"Also, my earlier words were not a threat. I was simply making my intentions known."

As soon as he said that, Lucius sprang forward like a rocket, shooting toward Liam, his fist flying forward at an incredible speed.
