Loud siren sounds accompanied by disturbing red and blue flashes of light filled the neighborhood as police officers arrived at the scene.

"Watch your step." Lucius said as they approached before walking over to pick up the unconscious Lia.

The first policeman to walk in quickly ran to a corner and began puking up uncontrollably. The sight of smashed brains, torn chests, and decapitated heads and limbs was just too much for some cops, especially since this was a society where people rarely died in such gruesome ways.

Normally when called in by a guardian, it was to arrest a defeated villain but whenever Lucius called, it was to pick up dismembered corpses.

"Come on kid, a guardian too?" Police Chief Harris complained as he saw Baron Cortez's head lying meters away from his decapitated body.
