章節 405: Chapter 405 Snape's Analysis Report

Andy did a bit of maths.

The Time Turner can only turn back time by a whole hour, so if you want to use it to go back to a precise point in time, you have to use it twice.

For example:

It's eight o'clock, but Andy wants to go back to half past six.

So Andy needs to use the Time Turner at eight o'clock to go back to seven o'clock.

Then at half past seven, he needs to use the Time Turner again to go back to exactly half past six.

'Hmm...'

Andy pondered for a moment.

For the time being, the method was there, and so did the location coordinates – Andy was 80% sure that the book containing the time reversal spell was hidden in the archives of the Department of Mysteries.

'But the time coordinates...' Andy was a little distressed.

Could the Department of Mysteries provide any clues?

Andy wasn't sure.

But for the time being, Andy could only go to the Department of Mysteries to look for clues.

Time magic, Andy didn't want to give up without even trying.

***

The Charms class was over, and the next class was Defence Against the Dark Arts.

The Professor for this class was Remus Lupin, one of the legendary Gryffindor Fours.

It had to be said that Professor Lupin's lesson was quite good, which also relieved Andy – at least he didn't have to get rid of the Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor this year.

By the time the Defence Against the Dark Arts class finished, lunchtime was almost here.

"Hermione, you go to the Great Hall first. I need to talk to Professor Snape about something," Andy said.

"Okay, I'll wait for you in the Great Hall," Hermione nodded and walked towards the Great Hall.

Andy went to Snape's office and knocked gently on the door.

Knock, knock...

Andy only knocked twice, and the door to Snape's office opened by itself.

"Good afternoon, Professor Snape," Andy said as he walked in and closed the office door behind him.

Snape's attitude was as bad as ever. He stared at Andy suspiciously and said slowly, "Collins... I don't know what's going on between you and Malfoy. But... it's best if he's not involved in certain things."

"Oh?" Andy raised an eyebrow.

Snape frowned, and his tone became a little impatient, "Malfoy is not clever and has no ability, he will reveal your secret."

Andy sat down in a chair and said casually, "If you had investigated more carefully, you would have known that Malfoy came to see me last night."

"And…"

Andy looked at Snape and said pointedly, "I thought you would be more concerned about Harry."

Snape's face turned dark.

Of course, he cared more about Harry.

But Harry was already in danger, and Voldemort was determined to kill him. Hanging out with Andy would only make Harry safer.

Moreover, Snape knew Harry well, so he knew that Harry would never get involved in Andy's private affairs.

This had nothing to do with friendship but with personal beliefs.

And Andy would never reveal his true colours when spending time with Harry.

But Malfoy was different.

Snape felt that Malfoy was a simple-minded child, and as long as Andy casually coaxed him a little, the boy would be willing to do anything for him.

"What did he want?" Snape asked.

"You should ask Malfoy,"

Andy casually replied, and then bluntly said, "Professor Snape, the Resurrection Stone...can I have it back?"

Snape stared at Andy for a long time, then took the Resurrection Stone out of his pocket and threw it to Andy.

He really needed to talk to Malfoy.

Andy Collins...this person is too dangerous.

Malfoy will be reduced to nothing if he comes into contact with him.

"If you need it in the future, you can always come to me."

Andy looked at Snape and suddenly asked, "Professor, when are you going to the Department of Mysteries?"

Snape: "..."

"That's none of your business," Snape said coldly.

"Don't be so sure,"

Andy said with a smile, "I'm interested in all kinds of magic and I think I have some talent. Resurrection magic is also one of my research topics, and I've already got some ideas."

Snape looked at Andy with cold eyes. Instead of answering the question, he took a manuscript out of a drawer.

"This is the analysis report of the green liquid,"

Snape looked at Andy and said, "You seem to have forgotten it?"

Andy spread his hands and said with a look of distress, "I did forget it! There have been a lot of things going on recently, and that green liquid was just lying around... Oh, thanks!"

After saying that, Andy took the manuscript and casually flipped through it.

There were a lot of technical terms in the manuscript, and it was clear that Snape was deliberately trying to make things difficult for Andy.

Fortunately, Andy could read it.

"…Maintain brain activity?"

Andy quickly skimmed through the manuscript before looking at Snape with an 'are you fucking with me' expression. "Even without testing, I know that the green liquid can maintain brain activity."

After all, those brains are soaked in this liquid.

Snape's manuscript is quite comprehensive. He has roughly detected the composition of the liquid, but in terms of the liquid's effects...there is only one: 'maintaining brain activity'.

"You gave me too little of the sample,"

Snape's tone was not very good, "To experiment the other effects of the green liquid, a lot of experiments are required."

Ah, this...?

This is indeed the truth, Andy understands it!

"I thought you could analyse their effects from the composition of the liquid."

Andy gave an example, "Just like the pharmacology of potion ingredients, haven't you studied it thoroughly?"

Snape: "..."

"Those liquids are not potions, and there are many other ingredients in them. Due to the small amount of samples, it is impossible to analyse them for the time being," Snape explained.

Okay!

Andy's original intention was not to study this liquid.

Andy was interested in those brains.

"In other words, as long as you soak a person's brain in this green liquid, you can maintain its activity?"

Andy asked curiously, "Can those brains still think like normal people?"

When it comes to academic issues, Snape's attitude becomes much more serious. "I'm afraid not! The brain itself has no sensory capabilities. The brains in there should have been modified, and that modification has given the brain a certain degree of sensory capabilities."

"I guess the Brain Room is for studying the organ that stores the soul...that is, the brain."

Having said this, Snape pointed to the location of the brain and continued, "But those brains should only have the most basic abilities left—that is, the instincts of the brain."

"Brain instinct?" Andy mused.

"Souls...they are a little more mysterious than you think," Snape explained.
